The Tacticum president soloed his first plane (N2469N) in 1975 at the age of 16; he earned his private pilot’s license in 1976 at the FAA’s minimum age of 17. In 1985 while in the US Air Force he earned his Airline Transport Pilot rating (FAA’s top rating).  He has been a pilot for 47+ years, has over 5,000 flight hours, and  flown to 110 countries on six continents.
